This one's for you, girls!

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD.

~*~ Never give the Devil a ride, he will just want to take over the driving. ~*~

Dear Woman of God:

Be still for a while and praise God for His favor, His grace, and His awesomeness. God is able to do the impossible and is always near. He loves you unconditionally. Please forward this to every woman you want God to bless. Let's all say this prayer during this hour.  Dear God: This is my friend whom I love very much and this is my prayer for her. Help her live her life to the fullest. Please promote her and cause her to excel above her expectations. Help her shine into the darkest places where it is impossible to love. Protect her at all times, lift her up when she needs You the most, and let her know when she walks with You, she will always be safe. Amen

Thanks to Carmen for sending this in!

The Ten Commandments: The Eighth Commandment

Hello everyone! Hope your Sunday is going fabulously. I'm making my post about the eighth commandment, which I feel is PRETTY OBVIOUS. You shall not steal. You heard Him. Don't take what isn't yours without permission.

So as I'm coming close to the end of this little "sermon series" as you might want to call it, and I need a new topic to work with. Also, I am thinking of starting a weekly/bi-weekly newsletter, and I need people to sign up! If you want to be a part of this newsletter group, send me an email at missionfaithblog@gmail.com with the subject "Newsletter". Send in your testimonies, prayer requests, articles, and/or questions for me at the same email! Like the Mission: Faith Facebook page, and pass it on to your friends.

Carmen's Testimony

Yay! Another testimony! Thanks so much for sending these in! I love hearing from you guys! (:

The really cool thing about being a Christian is there is always someone looking out for you. No matter how badly you screw up or how unloved you feel, you are ALWAYS loved by God. You have to really know that. And you know what? Jesus loves hearing from you. Talk to Him. He loves you no matter what. Do you love Him? Tell Him so. Sometimes it's really hard for me to fall asleep. When that happens I just talk to Jesus. Usually just telling Jesus I love Him over and over puts me to sleep. It's comforting to know He is always there listening.
The other thing about God is He is such a gentleman. He respects our space so much, that if we say "go away!" He will until we're ready to talk again. If you close your heart off to God, He will stay out. Similarly, though, if you let Him be a part of you and your life, He will and the most amazing things will happen. The easiest way to let Jesus in, is to just talk to Him. Let Him know you are ready to let Him in.

The Ten Commandments: Seventh Commandment

I cannot believe how far we have come in learning the commandments! This next one is fairly easy: Thou shalt not commit adultery. So really, 1) do not cheat on your husband/wife or girl/boyfriend and 2) don't do anything sexually immoral before marriage. God made us for ONE other person only, so you can wait until marriage! Simple enough?

There isn't much else I have... what is everyone planning to do over the weekend? Comment, I would love to hear back from you! Email me testimonies and prayer requests at missionfaithblog@gmail.com

Jessica's Testimony

Here's another wonderful testimony sent in from Jessica!

I've always gotten unbelievably nervous when it comes to singing solo, or even in a small group in front of people.  I reached out to the music minister at the church I go to, to help me with this.  She said she would cantor with me until I got the confidence to sing alone, and we did.  The first time cantoring went great, and I thanked God many times for that.  However, the second time we sang, what I was afraid of happening, happened.  My throat paniced under the nervousness and I sounded like I was trying to sing while dying.  I could feel all of the eyes on me, I was so embarresed!  I kept asking God the rest of that day: why would you give me such a wonderful voice if I can't show it to anyone? It made me even more nervous for cantoring again the following weekend to the point where I didn't know if I could do it.  Some point while I was asleep God came to me.  He spoke this verse from the bible:

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace." Ecc. 3:1-8

I woke up in the morning and thought about it, everything happens for a reason.  What happened when I was singing HAD to occur so I could realize the only reason I was nervous was because I was only thinking about myself! He gave me the strength to get up and continue the mass after any confidence I did have had vanished, and now hes given me loads of confidence for this weekend.  Sometimes things happen to us that at the time may seem horrible, painful, and unfair, but in reflection we realize that without overcoming those obstacles we would never realize our potential, strength, will power, or heart.

The Ten Commandments: Sixth Commandment

Hey guys! I know my posting hasn't been the most consistent lately, but I'm trying!

So these next few commandments don't need a ton of explaining, but there are a few things that need to be specified, of course! The sixth commandment is "Thou shalt not murder." We obviously know killing people is bad, but Jesus said during his sermon on the mountain top that to even hate someone is murder. So love everyone, because they are your brother or sister in Christ!

So I pray everyone has a love-filled day! Send those testimonies and prayer requests in at missionfaithblog@gmail.com (:

God bless (:

The Ten Commandments: Fifth Commandment

So I'm already halfway through the Commandments and I can really say I have even learned a lot during writing the first half, so my prayer is that you all have learned something as well!

The fifth commandment is to honor your mother and father. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!! Your parents love you VERY much and want you to grow up to be an AMAZING person! Love them back as well! They only want the best for you in every aspect of your life! Listen to them and follow their guidance. Trust them.

Again, if you want to write an article, send in a testimony, need a prayer request answered, or anything else, email me at missionfaithblog@gmail.com

God bless you!

Love,
Kayla

The Ten Commandments: Fourth Commandment

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days! Life got a little crazy, but I have been praying about this one, and I figured it would be good to make the 4th commandment post on the day this commandment speaks about.

The fourth commandment tells us to keep the Sabbath day holy. God made the world in 6 days, then took the 7th to look at all the good work He did. So we need to remember the 7th day is to praise Him for the work He has done throughout the week and also look back on how we glorified God and how we can improve into the next week! So take a look today on how you spread the good news of the Lord this past week and how you can do more!

And do you have a testimony to share on here? A prayer request? An article you wish to see posted? Email them to me at missionfaithblog@gmail.com

Thanks so much for the support guys; pass this website on as a way to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ!

The Ten Commandments: Third Day

God gave me so much insight on this commandment today! I have a personal story behind it, and He is giving me the opportunity to share it!
The third commandment is to not swear in the Lord's name. This means NEVER to say God's name unless we are uplifting it. Also, never say Jesus Christ unless we are praising him like we should! Far too often we hear Their names used in vain. Another thing we should never do is swear! If we heard a person say foul words, is our first thought "Wow, that guy/girl must be a Christian! They are really uplifting God!" No! We think "What disgusting language!" If you ever find yourself wanting to swear or use God's name in a non-uplifting way, stop! Pray for strength to stop yourself and for forgiveness for using those words.
Now for my personal story: Before I was Christian, I used God's name in vain ALL THE TIME. I didn't realize how sacred His name is, and I didn't really care. I also swore frequently. I had a terrible, disgusting mouth. Once my friend and I started going to church and I really saw HOW GREAT GOD IS, I quit that habit INSTANTLY. I feel terrible for ever saying those awful things, but I know Jesus has given me a new, clean heart and that I'm forgiven. My family (who is not Christian) often says these words (in particular my brothers), and I have told them many many times how offensive it is to me and that I wish them to stop. Has it gotten better? A little. Persistence in reprimanding them and persistence in prayer will help people realize how sacred these names are and that fowl language is unnecessary.
Follow this blog, follow me on Twitter @souldancer1996
And please keep praying for my friends, their father's funeral is tomorrow. They will need a lot of strength.
God bless this beautiful day!

The Ten Commandments: Second on the List

We will continue on our path of learning the 10 Commandments with the second one: You will have no graven images. Don't worship some earthly idol-- it is nothing compared to our Lord! God wants us to worship only Him and His Son, Jesus Christ! There is a reason there is only one god, and that is so we can worship Him and Him alone! Don't conform to be like those who don't listen to God's commandments-- you are better than that!

Check me out on Twitter @souldancer1996
And please keep praying for my friends (: thanks!

The Ten Commandments: The First and Foremost

As we should all know, the first commandment God has given us is that we should follow Him and He is the ONLY god. Why is this first? Because God MUST always be first in our lives. He is the most important thing we have. He gives us life every day, and He gave us His Son to forgive our sins. We are second in life-- GOD IS ALWAYS FIRST. One of my favorite church songs says "If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking". Praise God for His everlasting love for us! So ALWAYS remember this as the most important commandment!

Just a couple more things I need to add:
1) I got a Twitter today, so you're welcome to follow me! @souldancer1996
2) This is more somber. On Sunday night, I found out two of my best friends lost their dad. Please pray for them, they are struggling. Thank you, I know this will help their healing (even though it will take a long time), and compassion for everyone, whether we know them or not, is very important.

The Ten Commandments: The Order

God has told me He wants me to explain the Ten Commandments in a way us teens can understand, so here it goes! My first post about them will be the order and why it is important to know there is an order. Also, I will post a link to a video that helped me learn the order.

The order tells us what God knows is most important to follow. It is most important to know that there is ONLY ONE GOD first and foremost. Then we must NEVER bow down to an earthly idol. After those two, we shall NEVER, NEVER take the Lord's name in vain, nor shall we swear. Our top three we must never break. In the next post, I will cover the first one more.

We need to commit to learning these! This is God's word, His most important rules He has given to us on earth! Watch the video as many times as necessary-- I promise it will help!

Enjoy!

Jemima's Testimony

Here's the first testimony from another teen I have received-- I'm hoping this is the first of many!

Hello name is Jemima
I grew up with a Christian family but really wasn't a Christian. I would go to church everyday I would go to Sunday school and knew all the bible stories, I would call myself a Christian But really didn't walk like a young teen believer. I went to middle school and got bullied and at that time I was really depressed really got in Metal music i was calling myself emo and stuff. I really was very sad and I went to High school my best friend knew her ever since kindergarten kind of left me down the road. I was pretty sad  because I thought she was going to be in my life forever, but God brought me to these People who really changed my life and who inspired me before I was really wasn't into reading the bible but now I love the bible i read it everyday now but i had to forgive a lot of people but in the end of the day people come and go. I don't need anyone but Jesus

I hope everyone sees the last sentence-- it is so true!!! Send in your testimony at missionfaithblog@gmail.com

Patience

I will be the first to admit I am not the world's most patient person. I am prideful (which is awful) and don't always see people might have a point when they're telling me something. For example, my mom. I love her to death and beyond! She's amazing! But we do butt heads when she tells me I need to work on my online math class. I don't really see the point of it, but she insists on me doing it. My goal here is not to rant about her, because as I pray for patience in this situation, God tells me I should remember the 5th Commandment: You will honor your mother and father.  And so I keep a level head and remember she only wants the best for me.
Praying for patience is a very humbling thing to do. God makes you see how prideful you are. We aren't perfect, and we never will be. My youth leader told us last night "Even the most righteous act you can do looks like filthy rags to Him. But Jesus Christ saves us and so we must live a good life and follow Jesus's lead."
It's a hard thing to accept: even our kindest, most perfect act are disgusting. And it is true, because there's always a flaw. But the power of prayer will help us be our best! And the best way to try and be the best Christian you can be is to have patience. Patience while praying, while living, while witnessing, or doing math homework (okay, that one might just be me, but you get the idea!)
Now I challenge you to pray for patience, to humble yourself, and to try and become the best Christian you can be!

~*~ Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. --Romans 12:12 ~*~

My Testimony

Growing up, I was raised in a home where I learned about all religions. I love hearing about how different parts of the world praise God, but I knew that I needed to be grounded in one faith I could call my own.
Friends had invited me to youth groups and other church events, and I always loved it, and I didn't realize it then, but God was telling me I had to make myself a "regular" at one of those places. But in junior high, my faith was very wavering.
I knew there was SOMETHING out there that helped me make my decisions, but I just called it my conscience (which God is, telling us right and wrong. But we have to acknowledge it is God, not call it "luck" or anything else). Then, I would have a strong pull towards God, but things would make me shy away from it. Then, I started freshman year of high school. I was becoming depressed, relying on shallow things to make me happy. But within a little bit, I would be crashing down. My parents wanted to take me to therapy, or possibly get me on medication, to "balance my hormones". But what I needed was a strong dose of Jesus Christ. In March 2011, I got that.
My friend's foster mom wanted her to become more involved with good people, and my friend invited me to go to this youth group she was going to. We both LOVED it. We felt instant changes within ourselves.
I am joyful and happy in everything I do now, giving all the praise to God in whatever I do. I have devoted my life to Christ and spreading His Word. Jesus Christ has saved me from falling into dangerous spots.
Share your testimony, and I will post it on here (if that is all right. If you would prefer it not to be posted, just tell me in your email). Email me at missionfaithblog@gmail.com!
